Procyon is made from solid Black Walnut, a domestic hardwood. The custom neck as well as the fretboard are made from hard maple, the fretboard being made of highly figured spalted maple.
This guitar has a fit and finish of all Paar Engineering models - finish is begun with three coats of Danish Oil followed with multiple thin coats of lacquer, which protects the wood but still allows the "feel" of wood grain under your fingers. The Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded pickups provide a tone perfect for your favorite music genre. The action has been set low, keen attention is paid to the neck joint and pocket during the build, ensuring with the lowest practical action. The frets have been manually dressed to ensure there will be no cuts nor scratches as you run your hand down the fretboard chasing scales and crazy intervals! This model has extra cool factor too!
Controls are 1 volume and 1 tone with a 3-way switch. Wiring used is 22 gauge which provides plenty of conductivity for signals to wind through the controls and to the output jack.
